Holy patron.
Ex-voto paintings are offered to various local manifestations of Christ, advocations of the Virgin, and saints. These examples include two paintings each offered to the Virgin, to Christ, and to saints.

I give thanks to Our Lady of San Juan de los Lagos for the miracle that she granted me, of having gotten my husband out of prison, in which he was as a result of slander. Ana María López de P. Señora Tomasa Ocampo found herself sick, and having been bitten by a spider, she was very seriously ill in March of 1945. She and her husband Manuel Arizmendi cried to the most holy Virgin of Guadalupe, seeking her help. For which, in an act of thanks, they dedicate this retablo, in Tolomajac.	La Sra. Tomasa Ocampo se encontraba enferma de ataques y habiéndole picado una araña se vió sumamente grave en marzo de 1945. Ella y su esposo Manuel Arizmendi aclamaron a la Sma. Virgen de Guadalupe alcanzando la salud por lo que en acción de gracias le dedican este retablo. Tolomajac.

Señora Sara Sanchez and her husband, Señor Joaquín García, their three daughters, and their young goatherd give infinite thanks to Saint Francis of Assisi. For all these goods that, through his intercession, God Our Lord has given to them. And thus they ask him. Their house, their herd of 90 head, their oxen, their cows, their pigs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, and the goatherd’s little dog, and many things more. For this they beseech the Lord that he bless them and that they might increase and that nothing may ever be lacking for them. Rancho San Ignacio de T.N.L. October 4, 1963. In the year 1896, on November 2, this happened to Refugio Llanes in company of five people in the same house, that all were sick with fever and were found in such a great affliction that with all her heart she invoked Saint Anthony. And in gratitude she offers him this retablo.	El año de 1896, 2 de Nobiemvre, le aconteció á Refugio Llanes, en compañia de cinco de las misma casa todos Enfermos de fiebre y biendoce en tan grande aflición, invocó con todo Corazon á San Antonio de Bolle, y en gratitud le ofrece este Retablo.
